Directions from Charlotte area

There are 2 ways to do this:

The scenic route is Rt 49 North from Charlotte. It's 68 miles to Asheboro and another 7 to my house. The first 10 miles out of Charlotte are pretty congested and the entire route is mostly single lane.

In Asheboro, follow Rt 49 North signs as Rt 49 and Rt 64 East merge. After the merge, go through 7 lights. At the 8th light, turn right on Rt 42 (Blockbuster & Papa Johns are on right at this light.

Follow Rt 42 for 2.9 miles to left on Iron Mountain Road. There is a 2 story brick home with big red barn on left at this turn.

Follow Iron Mountain Road for .9 miles to second right, Buffalo Ford Road.

Follow Buffalo Ford Road for 2.5 miles to STOP at a crossroads. Continue straight on Buffalo Ford Road for .1 miles to first right, Spinks Road.

I am 3rd drive on right, 3814 Spinks Road.

The faster route is actually more miles but much of it is interstate.

Leave Charlotte on I-85 North. Get on Rt 64 East at Exit 96 toward Asheboro. Follow Rt 64 East for 21.3 miles.

Turn right at the Rt 42 stoplight. This is the stoplight following the WalMart stoplight. Blockbuster and Papa Johns are at the Rt 42 stoplight.

Follow Rt 42 for 2.9 miles to left on Iron Mountain Road. There is a 2 story brick home with big red barn on left at this turn.

Follow Iron Mountain Road for .9 miles to second right, Buffalo Ford Road.

Follow Buffalo Ford Road for 2.5 miles to STOP at a crossroads. Continue straight on Buffalo Ford Road for .1 miles to first right, Spinks Road.
